Case study: The Odam-Hasletts, RnR Sport tri camp, Sivota, Greece, 2016

An RnR Sport doesn’t have to be all about the triathletes. While the idyllic backdrop of Sivota on the west coast of the Greek mainland provides the perfect environment for swim, bike and run, and the resort caters for just about everything - and everyone - else. And that’s exactly what the Odam-Hasletts, Tanya, Neil and Poppy, from St Albans found when they spent a fun-filled week with us in 2016.

Here’s Tanya report:

“Family holiday and triathlon camps are not something you would normally associate together. However, RnR tri camps are the exception to the rule.

“Not only can your loved one push themselves to the limit, learn new skills and talk triathlon to their heart’s content, there is also something for the rest of the family too.

“There’s the most amazing kids club run by Nielson staff where your little darling can have their own adventures ranging from sailing to treasure trails and much more in between.

“But a note of warning, it does result in your children having such an amazing time that they’ll be reluctant to spend it ‘en famille’. As a case in point, at the triathlon race held on the last day of the camp, no amount of ice cream bribes from head coach Ryan could persuade our daughter to miss her sailing regatta to support daddy who was racing!

“As the non-triathlete in the family, you can do as much or as little as you want. Nielson has a fabulous range of inclusive activities. Personally, I’d recommend any triathlon widows out there book on the next RNR Tri camp asap. Not only will you win valuable brownie points, but you’ll also have a fantastic holiday. What’s not to love!”
