Mary Twitchett
Coach, strength & conditioning and yoga instructor
Mary is a driving force behind the RnR Sport community, combining her extensive personal experience, academic knowledge and coaching qualifications to help novice and experienced athletes achieve their goals.
Mary leads many of our strength and conditioning, and yoga sessions, as well as providing technical one-to-one running guidance to athletes. With a wealth of experience, her coaching certificates include UK Athletics Level 3 endurance running, and Active IQ Level 3 personal training.
She’s also a qualified fitness yoga teacher and TRX, kettlebell and aerobics instructor, and holds a Masters degree in Health and Exercise Behaviour, which included modules on sports science and sports nutrition.
As an athlete, Mary's passion for sport, mental tenacity and cross-training have allowed her to excel at running, rowing, duathlons and triathlons. An international marathon runner with a 2:42 personal best, she is also a British middle distance age-group triathlon and duathlon champion, as well as an age-group rowing world champion.
