Robbie (The Machine) MacNab
Coach and Head of Swim Performance
Robbie started out as a novice on one of our first RnR Sport triathlon camps (over 15 years ago) and understands what it takes to go from beginner to six-time Ironman finisher.
He became an RnR coach five years ago and has enjoyed working with a wide range of athletes and coaches from all levels of the sport. He brings to his coaching the unique quality of experience as an adult beginner triathlete who has progressed through all major distances to age-group representation. His naturally pragmatic and empathetic approach enables Robbie to help those new to the sport.
A British Triathlon Level 2 qualified coach, he has coached over 150 athletes on our RnR Tri Camps.
As an athlete, he is a phenomenal swimmer having completed a solo Channel swim, and represented Great Britain in sprint distance age group triathlon racing. Robbie thoroughly enjoys racing, from local club events to world age group championship at distances ranging from 5k to Ironman.
You may have seen his name pop up quite often in 220 Triathlon and Triathlon Plus where he provides expert commentary.
